Orphans of Eldoret Kenya

The orphans pictured here are in Eldoret Kenya, currently there are 170 orphans being cared for. Many parents have died from aids and other diseases.  A native Kenyan minister named Sylvester Okidi Kimasia is taking care of these orphans.

Sylvester is also helping a number of orphans in neighboring countries.

The following is an excerpt from an e-mail on June 7, 2007 from Sylvester,

l have a school of orphans and by now there are 170 children, we have the nursery with about 75, including baby stage, middle and top, then class one, and two,  the need is big,  because  we have not enough classes, no land, one primary education,  books, we need qualified  teachers,  the teachers we have now, offer free service, we can not pay them as they supposed to be paid,

We feed some of these children and need to buy clothing for them, give them Ex books pens, text books, and many other things,

Click here for specific information about the orphanage from Sylvester and an official letter from the city of Eldoret Kenya on the sanitary conditions of the orphanage which I received in early July 2007. I also received this postal letter from Sylvester along with the information on the orphanage.

Sing to God, sing praise to his name, extol him who rides on the clouds - his name is the LORD - and rejoice before him. A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. Psalms 68:4-5
